Casino Review

The opulence of casino decor creates an immersive experience for guests. From the dazzling lights and engaging sounds to the intricate architectural designs, casinos are visually captivating. This luxurious ambience also extends to the restaurants, where visitors can enjoy culinary delights prepared by renowned chefs and top-tier service.

As a result, casinos offer more than just the excitement of gambling, but the chance to indulge in fine dining as well. Indulge in delectable culinary treats while you try your hand at various casino games, or take a break from gambling and relax by the pool. With such an expansive array of options, it’s no wonder that casinos are a favorite spot for both locals and travelers alike.

One of the most interesting aspects of Casino is that, despite its name, it is as much a Western as it is a gangster film. The film lays bare the cynicism behind the American myth of the West, which posits that European settlers brought “civilisation” with them, taming a lawless frontier. Casino goes further than that, by revealing that what the gangsters brought with them was nothing more than unchecked capitalism.

The film reinforces this notion with its use of lighting and composition, frequently entering scenes from a high vantage point. This suggests a divine perspective, as if the filmmakers are watching their subjects like gods, making judgment calls over their kingdoms. Sam, meanwhile, is a hollow figure who is easily corrupted by the forces of greed. As a result, Casino ends up as less of an advocacy of the mob lifestyle than Goodfellas and more of a religious parable about mankind’s destruction of paradise.
